Job Description
Due to internal progression, we now have an exciting opportunity to join the Cell Engineering team as a Research Associate. You will need to hit the ground running and work within the department to assist the generation of edited cell lines using CRISPR Cas9 technologies.
This is a rare opportunity for someone looking to participate in development of cutting-edge technological approaches and employ their skills and expertise to create the largest catalogue of physiologically relevant disease models with unprecedented efficiency, ease and reproducibility of use. Roles and responsibilities:
Qualifications
You will have a degree in molecular biology or an equivalent subject and at least a year's experience in an industry environment with PCR, RT-PCR, nucleic acid extraction and subsequent QC. You will be able to prep and analyze a high volume of samples while complying with laboratory record keeping and record tracking databases.
You are comfortable presenting data with the ability to take on new challenges and identify new and/or improved methods for working. You are a team player, able to prioritise and work to deadlines and have a proactive attitude and great attention to detail. It would be great if you have experience in molecular biology, specifically genomic DNA isolation, PCR, protein analysis and DNA sequencing and some automation processes.
