The UCL Institute of Health Informatics (IHI) was established in August 2014 within the Faculty of Population Health Sciences. Our mission is to conduct high-quality, data-intensive research to improve health outcomes locally, nationally, and globally.

We’re looking for a Research Assistant to join our team and help shape the future of health informatics. You’ll play a key role in analysing data on hospital procedures in the national secure data environment, contributing to one or more research articles which is currently being prepared for publication. You’ll work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, contributing to high-quality research that makes a difference.
This is a full-time post (36.5 hours/week), funded until 20 February 2026, with the possibility of extension. The salary range will be Grade 6B, £38,607 - £41,255 per annum inclusive of London Allowance.

You’ll have:
• Experience of wrangling and analysing large-scale structured electronic health records on procedures from hospital data.
• Experience writing research protocols to carry out COVID-19 research using large-scale patient data.
• Strong statistical analysis programming skills in R and/or R-Studio.
