University of East London is seeking a Research Assistant for the Child Online Harms Policy Think Tank based at Stratford Campus. The role is 0.4 FTE on a 12-month fixed-term contract, with a salary of £39,824 to £45,281 per year inclusive of London Weighting.

A DBS check is required and interviews will be held remotely via Teams. The post holder will support research funding development, carry out priority-area research, and engage with policy makers to promote the Think Tank’s work alongside

Responsibilities

• Undertake research activities, including ethics applications, data collection, analysis, and other cutting-edge research in priority areas.
• Draft information sheets, consent forms, topic guides, and recruitment materials.
• Keep records and accounts of the project management.
• Prepare short briefings, summaries and literature reviews.
• Manage participant data and anonymisation.
• Record findings.
• Support risk assessments and safeguarding protocols.
• Maintain secure data storage in line with GDPR and policy.
• Develop research papers for peer-reviewed journals, reports and policy briefings.
• Disseminate the Think Tank work with stakeholders.
