Description of the Unit or Project

The Bipolar At Risk Trial II (BART II) is an Efficacy and Mechanism Evaluation trial funded by the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR), conducted within the Youth Mental Health Research Unit. The trial aims to investigate Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for individuals at risk of bipolar disorder, with the goal of informing NHS service development.

Main duties of the job

The research assistant will support clinical research activities, including assessments, data collection, project development, and training, with a focus on BART II. The role emphasizes increasing diversity and inclusion in research participation, supporting recruitment within the Northwest Coast and Greater Manchester clinical research networks.

Working hours and leave

Shift work includes Saturday (midnight to midnight), weekdays after 8 pm, before 6 am, and all hours on Sundays and public holidays. The role offers 27 days of annual leave, increasing with years of service.
