About the position

The School of Education has a long and distinctive history of progressive and socially engaged teaching and research in education. The school provides for the professional preparation of teachers and educators in early childhood, primary, secondary, community, outdoor and higher education.

Reporting to the Associate Dean, Academic Partnerships, this role will assist with data collection and preparation of research publications, contributing to evidence-based insights and driving meaningful change.

Some of your duties will include :

  • Under the leadership of Professor Miriam Tanti, provide the design and implementation for research concerning the impact of current and emerging technologies across a diverse range of educational settings.
  • In collaboration with the research team, provide a sophisticated and validated research design within the context of educational research literature.
  • Effectively carry out research on the influence of current and emerging technologies in education.
  • Lead the writing of a minimum of two high-quality (at least Q1) peer-reviewed publications outlining the findings derived from the research.

Skills & Experience

  • Holder of an undergraduate or postgraduate degree in Education or a related discipline.
  • Display of evidence showcasing adept management of research projects with a focus on quality design.
  • Evidence of recent, high-level, peer-reviewed publications in relevant journals, is desirable.
  • Demonstrated experience in designing qualitative and / or quantitative research instruments, along with proficiency in data collection and analysis.
  • Demonstrated ability to synthesise data from a diverse range of sources.
