Job description

Social network you want to login/join with:

You will work with a research team on an NIHR-funded study investigating why some international medical graduates become consultant doctors or GPs, and others do not, using a realist approach (SUP IMG Study, NIHR 163631). You will be responsible for supporting a realist review of the literature, qualitative data collection and analysis, and project administration.

This is an ideal opportunity for an excellent Research Assistant, keen to work in a supportive context that will enable them to achieve change in the development of the healthcare workforce, and take the next step in their career. You will be actively supported to develop your own research career whilst working with us.

You will become part of the Collaboration for the Advancement of Medical Education Research (CAMERa) research group. CAMERa is a welcoming and growing research group tackling problems of national and international importance in the training, retention, and reforming of the healthcare workforce.

This is a part-time position working 22.2 hours per week on a fixed-term basis until June 2028 due to funding.

For this role, you will need to be on site 1 day a week. Although we can accommodate hybrid working, flexibility to be on-site will be expected depending on business needs.

What we are looking for

We are looking for a Research Assistant with Masters or PhD qualifications, with experience in conducting systematic or realist reviews of the literature and qualitative research, with strong organisational skills.
