About The Role

We are hiring a Research Assistant to work on The Northern Net Zero Accelerator (NNZA) funded project. The post holder will work closely with the project team to collect data from local companies through interviews, group discussions, and site visits. The goal is to support these companies in reducing carbon emissions and becoming more sustainable. This post will be offered for 9 months, starting in August 2025 and ending in April 2026. The post holder will work on Northern Net Zero Accelerator (NNZA) funded project “Bridging the Skills Gap and Advancing Net Zero: Generating Impact Through Logistics Innovation in the Humber Region”. Key duties include collecting data through interviews, site visits, and group discussions; managing and analysing data using thematic and basic statistical methods; and writing reports and case studies. Research assistant will engage stakeholders to ensure smooth collaboration, support workshops and meetings, and ensure compliance with ethical and data protection standards. The role also involves maintaining accurate records and actively participating in team discussions to contribute to project planning, findings, and future actions.

About You

The successful candidate will hold an MSc or PhD in a relevant discipline such as Logistics and Supply Chain, Business Management, or Engineering. The candidate should possess strong skills in data collection and analysis, as well as the ability to work closely with industry partners.
