A healthcare organization based in Bristol is seeking a research evaluation practitioner for a 12-month secondment. This role involves supporting evaluations of health innovations through quantitative and qualitative data collection and analysis. Candidates with strong analytical backgrounds are encouraged to apply, and flexible working options are available. The ideal candidate will work closely with senior evaluators and produce high-quality reports using tools like Excel and SPSS.
This is a 12-month secondment to Health Innovation West of England. Our purpose at Health Innovation West of England is to transform lives through innovation. We work in partnership with our local systems and stakeholders, to develop a rich pipeline of useful, evidence-based innovation and to support adoption and spread of proven innovation across the systems we serve.
The primary function of the Evaluation and Insights team is to advise on and deliver real-world evaluation of innovations to understand their impact on patients, staff and the health economy.
The key responsibility of the research evaluation practitioner is to provide evaluation support to a range of complex, high-profile projects and programmes, within the Health Innovation West of England’s business plan.
The work will include collection and analysis of quantitative and qualitative data under the supervision of a more senior member of the evaluation and insights team.
We particularly welcome candidates with strong quantitative skills and an analytical background for this secondment, though we will consider candidates from both quantitative and qualitative backgrounds.
The post holder will support real-world evaluations which demonstrate the impact of innovation on systems, staff and patient experience and outcomes.
The Health Innovation West of England is one of 15 Health Innovations across England, established by NHS England to spread proven health innovation at pace and scale. We connect and collaborate with our local NHS and care organisations and universities, and with industry partners, the third sector, and researchers to support transformation across whole health and social care systems, with a clear focus on improving outcomes for citizens.
We are an NHS organisation and employment with our Health Innovation is through the Royal United Hospitals Bath NHS Foundation Trust. With headquarters in Filton, Bristol, we support agile working and welcome applications from applicants seeking flexible working opportunities. You will need to be able to travel to one of our office bases regularly (up to 2 days a week) for in-person meetings and events, or occasionally to other locations within our geography and nationally.
