We are seeking an R&D Technician to join a vibrant team with diverse scientific backgrounds. The role involves active laboratory work on testing and developing new medical devices and analytical test methods.

What will this role involve?
  • Perform testing based on established test methods.
  • Test materials/products according to documentation and quality systems.
  • Accurately record data and file information following Good Laboratory Practices.
  • Manage and monitor testing programs, ensuring adherence to protocols.
  • Maintain cleanliness and proper handling/storage of inspection and test materials and equipment.
  • Ensure materials, chemicals, and equipment are in stock.
  • Develop new test methods and perform testing as required by the R&D Manager.
  • Follow AMS health, safety, and environmental policies.
  • Document and prepare reports of test activities and results.
  • Train other staff occasionally.
  • Support other departments as assigned by the R&D Manager.
  • Attend meetings if requested.
  • Maintain good communication with departments (QA, Technical, Engineering, Production).
  • Keep training records up to date.
What we're looking for?
  • Basic knowledge of project work and deadlines.
  • Understanding of product development procedures and processes.
  • Knowledge of GMP/ISO13485/EN4600/FDA quality systems.
  • Understanding of test procedures.
  • Good communication and organizational skills.
  • Educated to A-level in science or engineering (or equivalent).
  • Attention to detail and analytical mindset.
  • Familiarity with PC systems and software.
  • Ability to analyze test results and report findings.
