Job Title: Project Manager – R&D (Inks & Coatings)

Location: Harlow

Salary: up to £50,000 (Permanent)

Are you an experienced formulation scientist with a passion for research and development? We’re currently seeking a Project Manager to lead innovative R&D initiatives within the field of security inks and coatings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of new security inks for flexo, gravure, and screen printing applications.
  • Manage R&D projects from concept to completion, including lab-based formulation and testing.
  • Collaborate with and mentor junior technical team members.
  • Ensure projects align with strategic goals and technical milestones.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in leading R&D projects within inks, coatings, polymers, adhesives, ceramics, or related formulations.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to plan and execute technical work independently.
  • Degree in Chemistry, Forensic Science, Physics, or a related field (or equivalent industry experience).
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a lab environment and communicate effectively across teams.
