Job Description:

A leading provider of innovative laser systems serving various global markets, including renewables, microelectronics, research, life sciences, automotive, and medicine.

We are seeking an experienced R&D Project Manager to lead and coordinate sustainment and New Product Introduction (NPI) projects.

The Project Manager will ensure smooth project execution, foster cross-team collaboration, and may oversee cross-site or non-NPI projects vital to product development. Success depends on driving progress, aligning stakeholders, and achieving project goals in a complex technical environment.

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Project Structuring & Execution:

• Define project phases and organize work for efficient execution.
• Establish clear deliverables and milestones, communicating goals effectively.
• Maintain and update risk registers for proactive risk management.
• Facilitate project workshops to ensure outcomes align with objectives.
• Oversee project closeouts, documenting findings and best practices.

Performance Monitoring & Process Improvement:

• Track KPIs such as time, resources, and costs.
• Provide project updates and documentation to stakeholders.
• Continuously improve project processes and records.
• Ensure adherence to NPI processes and control over project information.
• Manage phase gate reviews, securing sign-offs and resolving issues.

Education & Experience

• Degree in science, technology, engineering, or equivalent industrial experience.
• Experience in manufacturing, including design transfer in high-tech environments.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience managing technical projects, preferably with SCRUM/AGILE frameworks.
• Ability to quickly learn laser technology.
• Passion for cross-functional collaboration and driving engagement.
