Job summary

Assystem in Glasgow is seeking a Defence infrastructure requirements engineer to join our Engineering team in a hybrid role. You’ll help replace and refurbish plant to meet modern standards and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities include managing multi-discipline requirements, producing specifications, leading interface management, and collaborating across mechanical, electrical and process systems using PLM and RM tools.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering or Scientific discipline.
• Chartered or Incorporated Engineer (or working towards).
• Experience in highly regulated industries is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage requirements and acceptance processes across multi-discipline projects
• Produce and maintain detailed requirement specifications
• Lead interface management between engineering teams
• Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and process systems
• Utilise requirements management software effectively
• Support Project Engineers and Project Managers with expert guidance
• Conduct regular project governance reviews
• Assess technical deliverables from consultants and contractors

Key Responsibilities

Essential Skills & Experience

• Degree in a relevant Engineering or Scientific discipline
• Chartered or Incorporated Engineer (or working towards)

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Experience in highly regulated industries
• Confident engaging with stakeholders of all levels
• Capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously
• Background in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
• Experience with PLM systems (Windchill, Teamcenter)
• Skilled in IBM DOORs/Dimensions RM or similar tools

The role would typically be expected to be conducted in a hybrid arrangement from Glasgow City Centre (3 days office, 2 days WFH).
