Job summary

Assystem invites experienced designers to join its energy & infrastructure team in the UK. You will design components to customer specs, create models and drawings with CAD, and research new ideas to improve products and processes. You will ensure safety compliance and support junior team members while presenting designs to customers.

The role emphasizes close collaboration with mechanical engineers and a strong focus on design for manufacture and PLM workflows in a governed environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Senior Design Engineer or similar role.
• Ability to work with the Mechanical Engineering Team to realize ideas.
• Understanding of safety legislation.
• High degree of knowledge around Design for Manufacture.
• Familiarity with 3D CAD systems (Siemens NX or similar) for model and drawing creation.
• Familiarity with PLM systems (Teamcenter or similar).
• Professional qualification in an engineering related field.
