A leading healthcare provider is seeking a dedicated sonographer to join their ultrasound team. The role involves performing diagnostic ultrasound examinations, supervising students, and communicating findings effectively. This position offers support for both experienced and newly qualified individuals, with opportunities for training and mentorship.

An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and professional sonographer to join our friendly, hardworking ultrasound team. We welcome applications from both experienced and newly qualified individuals, who will be given support to gain experience within their role.
We act as a clinical placement site for the University of Cumbria’s Direct Access MSc Ultrasound programme, offering opportunities to engage in training and mentorship of student sonographers.
Applicants must hold a recognised ultrasound qualification (PgCert, PgDip, or Direct-Entry Masters) and be eligible to work in the United Kingdom with HCPC/NMC/equivalent registration.
Responsibilities include working autonomously within guidelines and reporting protocols, performing high-quality diagnostic ultrasound examinations to aid patient management, and effectively communicating findings verbally or in writing to clinicians and patients.
You will use analytical and judgmental skills to interpret ultrasound images, differentiating normal from pathological findings. Additionally, supervising, educating, and technically training multidisciplinary staff and students in ultrasound is part of the role.
