Forge Talent are recruiting for a Technical Reporting Manager to join a growing Insurance business on a permanent basis in Manchester.

Working closely with an outstanding leadership team, you’ll have the opportunity to shape policy, influence decision-making at board level, and guide the business through key regulatory and financial reporting changes.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and implementation of technical accounting standards across the business.
  • Own and drive IFRS 17 projects, ensuring compliance and best-practice delivery.
  • Draft and present technical papers to Board and Audit Committees.
  • Act as the go-to technical accounting advisor to the Senior Leadership Team (SLT).
  • Collaborate with finance and non-finance teams to embed robust technical frameworks.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, ICAS, ICAEW) with a strong technical background.
  • Experience in the insurance sector, ideally from an audit or practice background.
  • Solid understanding of IFRS (especially IFRS 17) and Solvency II regulations.
  • Demonstrated ability to prepare and communicate high-quality technical papers.
