Description
We have a rare and exciting opportunity for an ambitious Reporting Developer to join the ScS Reporting Team and support the business during an exciting period of growth.

You will be responsible for database management as well as implementing business logic to transform data for visualisation within Power BI.

Our data platform is hosted in Azure, where you will have the opportunity to work with the Azure tech stack to further develop your expertise. This is a key position within the Reporting team, acting as a point of contact with senior stakeholders across the business.

This position is based at our Customer Support Centre in Sunderland, and you will be required to work from the office.

What does the role involve?
  1. Work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver data solutions that support business objectives.
  2. Maintain data models and transformation pipelines that integrate data from multiple systems.
  3. Design and optimize SQL stored procedures and functions to improve performance, efficiency, and data integrity.
  4. Develop and maintain reports using SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).
  5. Visualise and analyse data to identify trends and opportunities.
  6. Maintain documentation for data models, processes, and procedures.
  7. Implement database security protocols to protect sensitive information and ensure compliance.
  8. Participate in fault resolution for data pipeline failures, especially those requiring specialized expertise.
Who are we looking for?
  • Confident working independently and collaboratively, thriving in an agile environment with attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to translate complex data into clear insights.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work on time.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience (minimum 3 years as an SQL Developer or similar role).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft SQL, T-SQL, and the Microsoft stack (SQL Server, SSIS, SSRS).
  • Experience with Azure data tools such as Data Factory, Analysis Services, and Data Lake.
  • Skilled in developing and presenting data stories using Power BI or similar tools.
  • Exposure to Microsoft Dynamics NAV or Dynamics 365 Business Central is preferred.
