Job summary

Affinity Trust is seeking a Reporting Analyst to create and manage Power BI dashboards and reports that enhance data visibility and performance insight. You’ll translate business needs into practical reporting solutions and define KPIs to monitor performance across the organisation.

In this hands-on role, you’ll work with Power BI, Power Query and DAX to deliver accurate insights, support governance, and enable informed decision-making for staff, leaders and trustees.

Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience developing reports and dashboards in Microsoft Power BI.
  • Good working knowledge of Power Query, DAX and data modelling.
  • Strong understanding of data visualisation and dashboard design.
  • Experience gathering requirements and explaining insight to non-technical colleagues.
  • Experience defining and monitoring KPIs, and testing and validating reports.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports.
  • Use Power Query, DAX and data modelling to produce accurate, reliable insight.
  • Translate reporting needs into clear, practical reporting solutions.
  • Define, monitor and report on KPIs that support performance and improvement.
  • Test, validate and release recurring and ad hoc reports.
  • Support good data governance, GDPR compliance and responsible use of information.

Job description

We're looking for a Reporting Analyst to help us make better use of data through accurate, accessible dashboards, reports and analytics. This is a hands‑on specialist role where you'll use Power BI to improve data visibility, strengthen performance reporting and support better decision‑making across the organisation.
