Job summary

We are seeking an experienced Repairs Planner to join a busy Property Services team, coordinating responsive repairs across a social housing portfolio in Watford.

Hybrid working is offered. This is a 3 month contract with potential extension, paying £20–£22 per hour Umbrella. The role concentrates on scheduling, partnering with residents, contractors and internal teams to meet KPIs and targets.

Qualifications

• Essential: Previous experience within social housing, housing associations, local authority housing or housing repairs
• Experience as a Repairs Planner, Repairs Scheduler, Maintenance Planner, Repairs Coordinator or similar
• Strong knowledge of responsive repairs and housing maintenance
• Experience scheduling operatives, managing diaries and coordinating appointments
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities
• Experience using housing repairs, scheduling or CRM systems
• Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines

Responsibilities

• Manage tenant/resident repair enquiries and assess repair requirements
• Schedule and coordinate repairs, appointments and operative diaries
• Allocate works to operatives and contractors
• Liaise with residents, contractors and internal teams
• Manage customer expectations and resolve enquiries at first point of contact where possible
• Monitor workloads, capacity and repair timescales
• Maintain accurate records using housing management, repairs and CRM systems
• Escalate complex repairs, compliance and health & safety issues
• Work to agreed KPIs, SLAs and customer service standards
