Job summary

Enfield Council is seeking an experienced Repairs Manager to lead housing disrepair case management, including pre- and post-litigation. Hybrid role at EN1 3ES on a temporary 3-6 month contract with potential extension or permanent appointment for the right candidate.

You will coordinate with legal teams, surveyors and external stakeholders, manage budgets, ensure timely statutory responses, and supervise damp and mould remediation.

Qualifications

• Excellent understanding of building pathology and repairs.
• Strong project and programme management skills.
• Relevant professional qualification (e.g., building surveying, construction, or housing).

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end management of housing disrepair cases, including pre- and post-litigation.
• Act as primary liaison with legal teams, surveyors and external stakeholders.
• Ensure timely responses to claims, minimising financial exposure and reputational risk.
• Adhere to statutory response times under Awaab's Law where applicable.
• Oversee inspections and risk assessments in line with HHSRS requirements.
• Ensure properties meet statutory health and safety standards.
• Lead approach to diagnosing, managing, and preventing damp and mould.
• Set performance targets and monitor service delivery against KPIs.
• Maintain robust data systems to track cases, risks and outcomes.
• Manage budgets related to disrepair, compliance works, and damp & mould remediation.

I am currently representing Enfield Council, who are offering an initial temporary contract for a period of 3-6 months with a view to be extended or offered a permanent position for the right candidate at a rate which is negotiable dependent upon experience

We are looking for a Repairs Manager this role will be based at: Hybrid Working EN1 3ES

The right candidate will:
