A property services organization is seeking a Repairs & Maintenance Team Leader to oversee a team delivering high-quality building maintenance across residential properties in the North East. This role involves hands-on leadership, requiring excellent communication and technical skills to manage projects effectively. The ideal candidate has a strong background in building construction and will support their team in achieving performance targets and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.

Location: Berwick (base location)
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time
Hours: 37 hours per week (Monday to Friday)
Salary: £45,055 per annum (plus Duty Officer payment – OTE approx. £46,700)
About the Role
We are currently seeking a skilled and proactive Repairs & Maintenance Team Leader to join our property services team. In this role, you will lead and support a dedicated team delivering building maintenance and project work across residential properties in the North East.
You will be responsible for ensuring high-quality service delivery, developing team members, and contributing to a culture of continuous improvement. This is a hands-on leadership position, requiring both technical knowledge and strong people management skills.
We’re looking for someone who is professional, enthusiastic, and committed to delivering excellent service. You should have a strong practical background in building construction, with the ability to supervise and motivate a team.
City & Guilds Craft Certificate, NVQ Level 2/3, or equivalent in a building-related trade or discipline.
Up-to-date qualifications or verifiable training in areas such as:
Full UK driving licence (essential – travel between sites required).
Willingness to work outside standard hours as part of a team rota.
