Job summary

Otis in Cardiff is seeking a maintenance mechanic to keep a portfolio of elevator units safe and reliable. You will service and inspect units across your territory, prioritising passenger safety and quality workmanship.

You will work autonomously or with colleagues, using electronic and digital tools, and you will liaise with customers on site to build strong working relationships. A long-term contract and competitive salary accompany the role.

Qualifications

• NVQ3 in lifts maintenance mechanics required.
• Valid driver's license is required.
• Strong electrical/electrical engineering skills.

Role Overview

Otis is growing and is looking for a maintenance mechanic for one of our entities located in Cardiff. Your priority is to ensure the safety of passengers and technical stakeholders by safely maintaining a portfolio of elevator units.

On a typical day you will

• Carry out 100% of the elevator maintenance and service visits of the units within your territory
• Work within your defined geographical area / territory, managing the portfolio of elevators within it
• Respond proactively and quickly to fix any breakdowns, aiming to achieve first time fix
• Carry out minor repairs to achieve continual operation
• Liaise directly with the customer while on site to build a good working relationship

What you will need to be successful

• Hold NVQ3 in Lifts maintenance mechanics in your country
• Hold a drivers license
• You have good skills in electricity and electrical engineering
• You are a committed professional, with safety as your priority
• You are comfortable communicating to others
• You are curious, adaptable, and you know how to work alone or in a team
• You are comfortable using electronic and digital tools.
