CONTRACT OPPORTUNITY AVAILABLE WITH A LEADING AEROSPACE COMPANY FOR A REPAIR STRESS ENGINEER

Position Details

• Onsite in Filton, with an opportunity to work from home 2 days a week
• BPSS clearance required

Role Responsibilities

The Repair Stress Engineer will:

• Join a team responsible for static strength analysis of metallic and composite structures
• Collaborate with Design and F&DT engineers to assess and validate repairs to damaged aircraft structures
• Complete justification reports and other engineering documentation
• Work with skilled designers to develop optimal repairs
• Use ISAMI and Mathcad for structural static strength analysis of repairs
• Possess an Aircraft Structural Engineering background
• Have knowledge of ISAMI and Mathcad
• Utilize a range of hand and computer methods for static analysis
• Experience with composite materials is beneficial
• Pass a BPSS check

Preferred Experience

Applicants who have previously held, currently hold, or are close to obtaining a Repair Stress Signatory Delegation are encouraged to apply.
