Job Description:

We are looking for a Repair & Maintenance People Supervisor to join Thames Water permanently.

This role will be on a shift pattern including some weekend working, late nights, averaging 45 hours per week. Flexibility to undertake overtime during peak demand is essential.

You will manage, coach, and develop around six R&M teams (both direct and indirect) to repair and enhance the water network, prioritizing health and safety in all decisions and repairs.

R&M Supervisors are people experts who drive team performance, ensuring safety, health, and quality standards are maintained.

Responsibilities include:

• Manage operational frontline teams for repair and maintenance activities, focusing on health & safety and quality standards.
• Understand water networks.
• Use analytical and problem-solving skills in high-pressure environments.
• Engage with customers, councils, and stakeholders to ensure timely work with minimal disruption.
• Promote continuous improvement and share local knowledge.
• Coach and optimize team performance through strong interpersonal skills.
• Manage operational risks with stakeholders.
• Be IT literate, as work is managed electronically.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Full UK Driving Licence

• Street works qualified (NRSWA)/SMSTS
