Job summary

Publica Group Ltd is seeking an Investigation and Enforcement Officer (Renters Rights) to join the Counter Fraud and Enforcement Unit covering Gloucestershire. You will investigate complex cases, gather evidence, and take enforcement action to protect tenants and ensure compliance with housing law.

A key focus is implementing the Renters Rights Act 2025 and using new powers to tackle unlawful practices such as illegal eviction, tenant harassment, and discrimination in renting.

Qualifications

• Experience in similar roles.
• Experience of liaison and communication with the public and colleagues.
• Experience handling confidential and sensitive information and understanding data protection.
• Ability to travel as part of the role.
• BPSS clearance.
• Standard DBS clearance.

Responsibilities

• Investigate complex cases and gather evidence.
• Enforce housing standards and take robust action where breaches are found.
• Protect tenants and hold landlords accountable under housing law.
• Support councils with enforcement under the Renters Rights Act 2025.
