Qualifications

  • Must be a qualified Accountant - ACCA/CIMA or equivalent.
  • Experience of setting rents and service charges in a Social Housing provider.
  • Apply analytical skills beyond the traditional functions of finance.
  • Possess a good understanding of the income streams and construction of budgets for Social Housing.

Reporting directly to Head of Housing finance, the role includes rent setting policy and service charge coordination, working with the asset management team to achieve value for money for customers. You will also take ownership of compliance with rent standard and lead on process optimisation for rent and service charge function. Ensuring that financial information is produced timely and accurate on a monthly basis.

About the role

Your main duties will include:

  • Maintain policies and procedures for rent and service charge setting.
  • Review service charge levels regularly to ensure value for money, and support the budget and forecast process for service charges, including new and existing properties
  • Lead on setting rents for Social Housing Tenants ensuring full compliance with the Regulator of Social Housing.
  • Lead on the annual uplifts process for rents and service charges
About you

The successful candidate will have:

  • Must be a qualified Accountant - ACCA/CIMA or equivalent.
  • Experience of setting rents and service charges in a Social Housing provider
  • Apply analytical skills beyond the traditional functions of finance
  • Possess a good understanding of the income streams and construction of budgets for Social Housing
