About the role

An exciting new role has been created as part of our reorganisation, aimed at enhancing the service we provide to our residents — Rent and Property Services Accountant.

You will take ownership for the setting of accurate and regulatory and legally compliant rents for our residents across all tenure types including tenants, Shared Owners, leaseholders and private householders.

The successful candidate will join a highly motivated and professional finance function that is expanding to support the continued success and growth of the organisation.

Our ideal candidate for this role is someone who has:

a sound understanding of accounting principles including double entry bookkeeping, management/statutory accounts and budget setting
fully qualified AAT (level 4) or equivalent qualification to the same standard
an understanding of computerised Financial Management Systems
the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines independently or as part of the team
excellent spreadsheet skills and ability to undertake complex financial modelling using a different data sets and systems
the ability to analyse data and information from multiple sources
experience of routine annual accounting cycles including financial year end, month end and end to end budget setting
