A community support organization in Hove is seeking a Rent and Housing Administrator to provide administrative support for property payment collections and compliance management. This role involves maintaining accurate data and collaborating with multiple teams to ensure effective housing services. Ideal candidates will have strong administrative skills, effective communication abilities, and experience in data reconciliation. A commitment to safeguarding young people is essential.
37 hours per week / £27,110 per annum / permanent / Monday-Thursday 9-5pm; Friday 9-4.30pm.

We are looking for a Rent and Housing Administrator to join our small, dispersed Rent Team within Housing and Property Services. In this role, you will provide a highly responsible administrative service to colleagues managing property payment (rent/arrears) collections, lease/housing management, and compliance delivery within the organisation.

This is a dynamic role where you will work closely with the Asset and Housing Management Team and the Finance Team to enable proactive and effective information posting and maintain current property and compliance data. Additionally, you will support the wider Asset Management Team with administrative and system-related tasks, attend team meetings, and liaise with colleagues, which may include traveling to YMCA DLG sites.

You will have experience working in a varied administrative role, be competent in using MS Office applications and rent/payment databases, and be an effective communicator at all levels. You should be able to work independently, prioritize tasks, and have an eye for detail. Experience in reconciling data and financial information is essential. A basic understanding of the key risks, challenges, and opportunities for young people affecting their ability to pay rent, along with a basic understanding of supported housing, is also desirable.
