The Housing Renewals and Adaptation service is seeking a qualified and motivated surveyor to join a grants agency team. The role involves administering Disabled Facilities Grants and other housing assistance programs, including Repair Loans and Empty Property Grants.

Responsibilities include conducting property surveys, preparing drawings, schedules of work, specifications, tender documents, assigning jobs to contractors, inspecting work, arranging payments, and managing scheme accounts.

The post requires liaising with clients, tenants, contractors, statutory bodies, and partner agencies. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.

Candidates should be qualified in building construction, with relevant experience in building surveying, knowledge of current construction and health and safety legislation, CAD skills, experience in preparing disabled adaptation schemes, and schedules of repair works.
