Job Description:

We are Uniper

At Uniper, we are proactively transforming the world of energy while ensuring security of energy supply. As an international company, we work in diverse teams with flexible working hours. Our culture emphasizes equal opportunities, mutual respect, and appreciation. Join us to develop new business models, work on technological solutions for a sustainable energy future, and help shape industry changes.

Your responsibilities

Our Renewables team develops Uniper's solar PV and wind onshore projects, mainly in Europe. Our goal is over 1 GW annual growth by 2025, supporting our strategic ambitions. We offer an undergraduate placement in our Energy Offtake team starting September 2024 for 48-52 weeks, suitable for students studying business, economics, finance, accounting, or marketing.

The Energy Offtake team secures routes to market for renewable energy and sells power under Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs). As a new team, there are many opportunities to work on interesting topics and activities. The successful candidate will:

  • Assist in assessing European renewable markets, analyzing prices and financial data in countries like UK, Germany, France, etc.
  • Conduct competitor analysis and identify potential corporate offtakers, organize and prepare for offtake meetings.
  • Support marketing efforts and prepare presentations for upcoming conferences.
  • Help develop and create monthly reporting dashboards, and document key processes.
  • Attend stakeholder meetings and support senior managers in negotiations with offtakers.

Your profile

This placement is suitable for students studying business, economics, finance, accounting, or marketing. Flexibility for travel is required, as some meetings may be held in Dusseldorf, Germany. The role involves hybrid working, combining home and office work in Birmingham, with occasional trips to Dusseldorf.

Knowledge of the energy industry is desirable but not essential.
