Job summary

ScottishPower in Glasgow seeks a Stakeholder + Community Manager (Fixed term till Oct 2027) to lead stakeholder engagement across development, construction, operation and decommissioning phases. You will negotiate community benefits and build long-term community relations, reporting to the Senior Manager in SPR Onshore Asset Management.

Requires degree-level education and proven renewables stakeholder engagement experience, exceptional communication and negotiation skills, plus strong project

Qualifications

• Educated to degree level in a relevant discipline (e.g., public relations, stakeholder engagement).
• Significant experience in the Renewables sector with knowledge of project lifecycle stages.
• Significant experience in stakeholder engagement, public relations or project liaison roles.
• Demonstrable experience in implementing stakeholder engagement strategies and advising project teams.
• Knowledge of Renewable stakeholder groups and how engagement supports decisions.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement project-level strategies for positive stakeholder engagement from inception.
• Prepare stakeholder engagement plans and mapping for Development projects.
• Increase acceptance of development projects with bespoke stakeholder plans.
• Plan and execute stakeholder events, prepare briefing notes, and attend events.
• Build and maintain relationships with community, government and industry stakeholders.
• Negotiate and monitor community benefit agreements and bespoke funding solutions.
