Job summary

OXBO, in Glasgow, is seeking a Procurement Manager to lead procurement across major electrical and BoP scopes for renewable energy projects. The role collaborates with engineering, grid, finance, and legal teams to optimise commercial outcomes, manage risk, and ensure alignment with project timelines and budgets.

The successful candidate will bring 5+ years in procurement/commercial management within renewables or major infra, with experience in EPC/EPC-M contracting and high-value equipment

Qualifications

• 5+ years in procurement, commercial mgmt or contract admin in renewables or major infra.
• Degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or related.
• Experience procuring high-value equipment or construction packages.
• Experience with EPC, EPC-M and multi-package contracting.
• Experience tendering, evaluating offers and negotiating contracts.
• Ability to manage supplier relationships and identify commercial efficiencies.

Responsibilities

• Lead procurement of key project packages, from strategy and tendering to supplier selection and contract negotiation.
• Develop procurement and contract strategies for major electrical and BoP scopes.
• Collaborate with engineering, grid, finance, legal and project delivery teams to optimise commercial outcomes and manage risk.
• Support delivery of renewable energy projects by aligning procurement with timelines and budgets.
• Manage supplier relationships through project delivery, including performance, variations, milestones and payments.
• Evaluate tender submissions and negotiate terms to achieve best value and bankability.
• Contribute to wider commercial and project delivery activities and drive continuous improvement across the supply chain.

What you will be doing:

• Lead the procurement of key project packages, from commercial strategy and tendering through to supplier selection and contract negotiation.


• Develop and implement procurement and contract strategies for major electrical and balance of plant (BoP) scopes.


• Collaborate with engineering, grid, finance, legal and project delivery teams to optimise commercial outcomes and manage project risk.


• Support the successful delivery of renewable energy projects by ensuring procurement activities align with project timelines, budgets and investment requirements.


• Manage supplier relationships throughout project delivery, including commercial performance, contract variations, milestone tracking and payment management.


• Evaluate tender submissions and negotiate commercial terms to achieve best value and support project bankability.


• Contribute to wider commercial and project delivery activities, providing support to senior team members and driving continuous improvement across the supply chain.

What you will bring:

• 5+ years' experience in procurement, commercial management or contract administration within renewable energy or major infrastructure sectors.


• Degree-level qualification in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or a related discipline.


• Experience procuring high-value equipment or construction packages.


• Strong understanding of EPC, EPC-M and multi-package contracting models.


• Experience managing tender processes, commercial evaluations and contract negotiations.


• Ability to manage supplier relationships and identify commercial efficiencies.


• Degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or a related discipline.
