Job summary

OXBO, partnered with a fast-growing Renewable Energy IPP, is recruiting an Assistant Project Manager to join their Glasgow team. You will assist in delivering utility-scale Solar and BESS projects from pre-construction through to handover to O&M, coordinating construction, safety, and quality across sites.

The role requires at least 2 years in renewables, knowledge of grid connection processes, and strong stakeholder communication.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years experience within the renewable energy industry, within the development and delivery phases.
• Experience in Solar PV, Batter Storage (BESS) or Onshore wind projects (other industries with suitable transferrable skills will also be considered).
• Experience in contract preparation, negotiation and administration.
• Strong knowledge of UK & Ireland Construction, CDM, Health & Safety, and environmental regulations.
• Understanding of Grid operators and connection processes.
• Confident communicator with stakeholders and contractor management skills.
• Ability to manager several project tasks at once and able to plan and prioritise.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to site as required.

Responsibilities

• Support in management of overall delivery of multiple utility-scale Solar and BESS construction projects.
• Assist in the management of all aspects of projects, including Construction, Health & Safety, and quality standards across sites.
• Support and manage grid agreement interfaces, general engineering activities, procuring and contract administration.
• Proactively identify construction risks and issues, implementing mitigation strategies to protect programme and cost.
• Monitor and report deviations to scope, schedule, or budget, providing clear recommendations to senior stakeholders.
• Undertake development and O&M works in order to gain all round knowledge of project life cycles.
