Renewable Energy Project Engineer (Design experience)

Leap29 is recruiting for two skilled engineers with excellent design experience to join our client's growing team in Liverpool:

• Solar PV Specialist – Concentrated on optimizing yield and enhancing system performance.
• Generalist Renewable Energy Engineer – Overseeing tender processes, Owner’s Engineer (OE), Due Diligence (DD), and Lender’s Technical Advisor (LTA) activities.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop technical designs from concept through to detailed engineering using industry-standard software, aligned with project development phases.
2. Optimize system layouts and energy yields through comprehensive constraint analysis.
3. Ensure all designs adhere to industry codes, regulations, and best practices, integrating input from cross-functional teams.
4. Contribute to the preparation of both pre-construction and post-construction documentation.
5. Lead or support technical due diligence, acting as the liaison with Lenders’ Technical Advisors (LTAs).
6. Take a lead role in preparing and evaluating tenders and RFQs.
7. Define, track, and review contract technical requirements (e.g., PAC process), ensuring compliance and resolving any technical issues.
