Job summary

Andrews Recruitment Group is seeking an experienced Renewable Energy Electrician to join a North West-based specialist focusing on Solar PV, battery storage and EV charging systems. You will install and commission across customer sites, ensuring compliance with the latest electrical regulations.

Ideal candidates will hold Level 3 electrical qualification, 18th Edition, a full UK driving licence and proven Solar PV and battery storage installation experience.

Qualifications

• Level 3 electrical qualification and 18th Edition Wiring Regulations required.
• Strong Solar PV installation experience and knowledge of battery storage systems.
• EV charger installation experience and testing/fault-finding ability.
• Full UK driving licence and health & safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Installing and commissioning Solar PV systems.

Renewable Energy Electrician

Location: North West
Salary: £35,000–£50,000 DOE

The Opportunity

We are recruiting for an experienced Renewable Energy Electrician to join an established and growing renewable energy business operating across the North West.

This role would suit a fully qualified electrician with hands‑on experience across Solar PV, battery storage and EV charging systems who wants to continue developing within the renewable energy sector.

The position is particularly attractive for someone looking to reduce excessive nationwide travel, as the work is focused predominantly across the North West.

What You'll Be Doing

You'll be working across customer sites, carrying out electrical installation and associated works across a range of renewable energy systems.

Typical responsibilities will include:

• Installing and commissioning Solar PV systems
• Installing battery energy storage systems
• Installing EV charging equipment
• Completing associated electrical installation works
• Testing, inspection and certification
• Fault finding and remedial work where required
• Ensuring installations meet current electrical regulations
• Working safely and professionally within customer properties
• Coordinating with wider installation and technical teams
• Supporting other renewable technologies where required

Experience with air‑source heat pumps would be advantageous but is not essential.

What We're Looking For

Applicants should be fully qualified electricians with practical renewable installation experience.

Additional qualifications or experience relating to EESS, Solar PV, EV charging, JIB/ECS status or heat pumps would be advantageous.
