Redditch Borough and Bromsgrove District Councils seek an energetic Project Manager to lead the delivery of ReNEW (Rediscover North East Worcestershire). The post holder will start in the early Autumn of 2025. The ReNEW project is resourced with a £550,000 Arts Council England National Lottery Place Partnership Fund and further support from the partners of the Cultural Compact for North East Worcestershire.
The successful applicant must possess a range of skills and experience to include:
High quality cultural project management, leadership, line management and team building skills in a politically sensitive and complex organisational setting.
Excellent stakeholder engagement and advocacy skills in a range of settings (e.g. grass roots communities, business, health, environment, youth).
Significant experience of financial management, procurement and budget control.
An understanding of and commitment to diversity, inclusion and environmental responsibility.
ReNEW has two core aims:
1. Develop the creative skills and industry potential of local young artists aged 16 and above by providing applied training, mentoring and industry-specific co-production experiences.
2. Build ambition, capacity, and long-term sustainability within the Local Cultural Sector improving its ability to serve local communities.
The Manager will amongst other responsibilities:
Manage the project and team (Skills Development Coordinator and two Apprenticeships).
Develop and maintain effective relationships with key partners and contractors including funders, elected members, local and national arts and culture organisations and Cultural Compact partners.
Implement strategies to engage target audiences: young people aged 15 - 20 years, isolated older people, lower socio-economic groups, families with older children.
Advocate for ReNEW in a range of contexts- press, funders, local and national partners, artists and councils.

Redditch Borough and Bromsgrove District Council’s Cultural Service provide broad support for the partners of the Cultural Compact for North East Worcestershire made up of committed partners from the Councils and other public sector providers, Business, Environment, Youth and Community, Education, Health, Culture and Heritage. The Project Manager will have management responsibility for the Compact’s first major project ReNEW (Rediscover North East Worcestershire).
