An established industry player is seeking a compassionate Renal Supportive Care Nurse to provide exceptional palliative and end-of-life care for patients with Advanced Kidney Disease. This role involves working closely with a dedicated team, offering support to patients and their families throughout Ayrshire & Arran. Qualifications

  • Registered Nurse with current NMC registration and experience in a renal setting.
  • Excellent knowledge of Advanced/End Stage Renal Disease and Renal Supportive Care.

  • Collaborate with the renal MDT and liaise with health and social care professionals.

Opportunity: Renal Supportive Care Nurse

Location: University Hospital Crosshouse

What you will do:

You will assist and support the RSC Nurse Specialist to maintain the RSC service, which provides quality person-centred palliative, supportive, and end-of-life care for people with Advanced Kidney Disease and their families throughout Ayrshire & Arran.

You will work independently but with direct support and supervision from the RSC Nurse Specialist, Lead Kidney Nurse Specialist, and Clinical Lead for RSC. The post holder will collaborate with all members of the renal MDT and liaise with other health and social care professionals.

Knowledge, Training, and Experience:
  • Registered Nurse with current NMC registration and experience in a renal setting
  • Educated to degree level or working towards it
  • Excellent knowledge of Advanced/End Stage Renal Disease, Renal Supportive Care, Renal Replacement Therapies, and Renal Anaemia
  • Portfolio of evidence in supportive, palliative, and end-of-life care
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
Additional Requirements:

Hours: 24 hours per week

UK Driving Licence: Essential for this role.
