Job summary

York Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 5 Registered Nurse to join the Haemodialysis Team at the Easingwold Satellite Renal Unit. The unit operates with a patient-focused, multidisciplinary approach, offering full training and support for renal nursing interests within a friendly team.

The role involves on-site dialysis care, flexible cover for York or Harrogate as needed, and participation in occasional out-of-hours on-call.

Qualifications

• Registered with the NMC as a nurse.
• Interest in renal nursing is essential.
• Willingness to cover occasional shifts at York or Harrogate.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a high standard of patient-focused care in line with Trust policies.
• Provide safe and a clean working environment.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care with accurate records.
• Communicate with patients and carers to ensure information is accessible.
• Foster positive relationships among the care team.
• Act in accordance with the NMC Code of Conduct.
• Cover duties on different wards/departments as needed.
• Adhere to infection control policies and participate in training.
