King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust in London is seeking a Band 5 nurse for the Dulwich Renal Satellite Unit at Tessa Jowell Health Centre. You will assist in driving haemodialysis care, mentor junior staff, and contribute to high-quality patient-centred services in a busy unit.

The role emphasises mentoring, leadership, time management and independent working, with opportunities to learn fistula assessment and cannulation, under supervision.

Formación

• Band 5 nurse role with mentoring and leadership responsibilities.
• Experience or capability in haemodialysis procedures.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and maintain patient confidentiality.

Responsabilidades

• Providing independent holistic care to patients.
• Assisting the unit manager and senior nurses in daily operations.
• Setting up, priming and operating haemodialysis machines and equipment.
• Monitoring patient observations and documenting findings.
• Supporting and mentoring healthcare assistants, including appraisals.
• Supporting AVF assessments and cannulation as needed.
