Job Role

Moving household and office furniture and other items to new premises or storage, working in small to large teams.

This role is on a zero-hours contract basis, with potential for permanent employment after 6 months, based on performance, skills, and reliability.

Role and Responsibilities

• Household and office relocations
• Storage management
• Specialist projects (e.g., hospitals, libraries, schools)
• Handling fine art and furniture

Day-to-Day Tasks

• Packaging items securely for removal or storage
• Wrapping and protecting furniture for overseas shipping
• Pre-move wrapping and packing of delicate items
• Protecting fragile items like computers or antiques
• Disassembling large furniture for transport
• Removing curtains, carpets, doors, or windows as needed
• Packing, loading, and securing goods in vehicles
• Driving to new locations, unloading, and reassembling furniture
• Unwrapping and unpacking items at the destination

Requirements

Flexibility in working hours as needed; overnight stays may be required for long-distance moves.

Driving license preferred.

Experience in removals or similar roles is advantageous.
