Job Role
Moving household and office furniture and other items to new premises or storage, working in small to large teams.
Responsibilities
- Household and office removals or relocations.
- Handling goods for storage or retrieval.
- Managing large projects like hospital, library, or school equipment moves.
- Specialist moves involving fine art and furniture.
Day-to-Day Tasks
- Safely packaging items for removal or storage, including wrapping and protecting furniture for overseas shipping.
- Pre-move wrapping and packing of delicate items such as china, glass, artwork, and antiques.
- Protecting fragile items like computers or antiques with appropriate packaging.
- Disassembling large furniture for transport.
- Removing doors, door frames, or windows to facilitate large item movement.
- Packing, loading, securing items, and ensuring safety during transit.
- Driving to new locations, unloading, reassembling, and placing items as directed.
- Unwrapping and unpacking at the destination.
Requirements
- Flexible working hours, including potential overnight stays for longer moves.
- Driving license preferred but not essential.
- Experience in removal or similar roles preferred.

Skills, Qualifications, and Licences
- HGV Class 2 Driving Licence (essential).
- Digital Tacho Driver Card (essential).
- CSCS Green Card (preferred).
- Drivers Qualification Card (CPC) (essential).
- Knowledge of legal tachograph procedures (essential).
- ADR Packages (preferred).
Daily Responsibilities
- Vehicle checks for HGV Class 2/7.5t/3.5t vehicles.
- Ensuring all equipment is available and operational.
- Lifting and packing various items, including office furniture and fine art.
- Handling goods in and out of storage.
- Managing loads exceeding 25kg.
- Adhering to health, safety, and company procedures.
- Providing excellent customer service and teamwork during projects.
