Job summary

Qualifications

• Previous experience within removals, logistics or transport management.

• IT literacy with scheduling systems, CRM software and Microsoft Office.

• A management or logistics-related qualification would be advantageous.
• A CPC qualification would be desirable.
• A full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all day-to-day branch activities, including removals operations.
• Plan and coordinate moving schedules, transport and staffing requirements.
• Ensure removals are completed efficiently, safely and on time.
• Manage fleet usage, maintenance and compliance.
• Recruit, train and supervise drivers, removal crews and office staff.
• Set performance targets and conduct staff reviews.
• Promote a safe, customer-focused working environment.
• Handle customer enquiries, quotations and complaints.
• Drive branch revenue through local marketing and sales strategies.
• Prepare and follow up on quotations.
• Identify new business opportunities and potential partnerships.
• Manage branch budgets, costs and profitability.
• Monitor KPIs like revenue, margins and job completion rates.
• Approve expenses and control costs.
• Ensure compliance with transport regulations and health & safety requirements.
• Conduct risk assessments and safe handling of goods.
