Job summary

Red Recruit Global is working with a specialist removals company in Inverness seeking an experienced Removals Branch Manager to oversee daily branch operations, service delivery and financial performance. You will lead the team, coordinate domestic, overseas and commercial moves, manage fleets, promote safety, and drive revenue through local marketing and client relations.

Qualifications

Proven management experience in removals, logistics or transport.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities.
Customer-focused approach.
Good financial and commercial awareness.
Knowledge of health and safety requirements and transport regulations.
IT literacy with scheduling systems, CRM software and MS Office.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Able to make decisions and take accountability.
Hands-on, flexible approach.
Management or logistics qualification advantageous.
CPC qualification desirable.
Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

Oversee day-to-day branch activities, including domestic, overseas and commercial removals.
Plan and coordinate moving schedules, transport and staffing requirements.
Ensure removals are completed efficiently, safely and on time.
Manage fleet usage, maintenance and compliance.
Recruit, train and supervise drivers, removal crews and office staff.
Set performance targets and conduct regular staff reviews.
Promote a positive and safety-focused working environment.
Handle customer enquiries, quotations and complaints.
Ensure an excellent standard of service from enquiry to completion of move.
Build and maintain long‑term relationships with private customers, clients and corporate accounts.
Drive branch revenue through local marketing and sales strategies.
Prepare and follow up on quotations.
Identify new business opportunities and partnerships.
Manage branch budgets, operational costs and profitability.
Monitor KPIs, including revenue, margins and job completion rates.
Approve expenses and maintain control of operational costs.
Ensure compliance with transport regulations, company policies and health and safety requirements.
Conduct risk assessments and safe handling of customers' goods.
Uphold FIDI and BAR compliance standards.
