About the Role
Our long-standing client is looking for a number of experienced Removals Foremen / HGV Drivers to join their high-performing team in North London. They pride themselves on handling everything with exceptional care and delivering outstanding customer service at every step. This role calls for leadership, practical skill, and attention to detail - ideal for someone with a strong background in removals, or high-value transport.
As Foreman / HGV Driver, you'll lead by example: coordinating teams, driving large vehicles safely, and ensuring each move meets the company's exacting standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead your team effectively, taking full accountability in the absence of a supervisor
- Train and mentor colleagues, especially junior or new team members
- Plan daily workloads and allocate responsibilities according to team strengths and customer needs
- Handle and transport high-value items with care - including wrapping, packing, loading/unloading
- Maintain clear, accurate documentation for collections and deliveries
- Resolve on-site issues promptly and professionally
- Follow all operational, health & safety, and HR procedures
What We're Looking For
Essential Attributes:
- Fit, healthy, and physically capable of manual handling duties
- Honest, reliable, and responsible with excellent interpersonal skills
- Smart and professional appearance; customer-focused approach
- Fluent in spoken and written English
- Must have a valid UK passport or working visa
- Full UK HGV driving licence
Experience Required:
- Minimum 3 years with a Removals BAR-registered company or equivalent
- Strong team leadership and crew coordination skills
- Knowledge of removals, fine art handling, or specialist transport preferred
- Understanding of Working Time Directive and compliance standards
