Job summary

Pickfords is the UK's leading relocation moving and storage company, seeking a full-time 3.5T Driver and Porter to support domestic and commercial moves. You will pack, load, unload vehicles and provide excellent customer service, with training to progress to LGV/HGV where applicable.

Candidate must have a valid UK driving licence; LGV/C licence training will be provided. Occasional weekend work and travel may be required; full training offered.

Qualifications

• Valid UK driving licence essential.
• LGV Category C licence training and development opportunities may be provided.
• Experience in removals, moving, logistics or similar is desirable.
• Willingness to work away from home and occasional weekends when required.
• Full training will be provided where necessary.

Responsibilities

• Safely pack, load, transport and unload customers’ possessions.
• Provide a professional and friendly service to customers.
• Work as part of a team and, where required, lead and support colleagues.
• Ensure health & safety and working procedures are followed.
• Complete vehicle and equipment checks where applicable.
• Liaise with customers and colleagues to ensure moves run smoothly.
• Support other operational duties as required.

We are looking for a full time reliable and hardworking Driver (3.5T, LGV/HGV, 7.5T) and Porter to join our removals team.

The role involves supporting domestic and commercial moves, including packing, loading and unloading vehicles, safely handling customers’ possessions and providing excellent customer service.

Candidates must hold a valid UK driving licence for all types of roles.

An LGV/HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence is preferred but not essential, as training and development opportunities may be provided for candidates if interested.
