Position: Non-Fiction Writing Expert

Type: Hourly Contract

Compensation: $100–$150/hour (based on experience and location)

Location: Remote

Duration: 6–8 weeks (subject to change, with potential extension)

Commitment: 20–30 hours/week

Role Responsibilities (Training support and guidelines will be provided)

• Review and evaluate AI-generated nonfiction writing content.
• Develop prompts, rubrics, and editorial guidance to train AI writing models.
• Apply professional editorial judgment to ensure writing accuracy, clarity, and quality.
• Work independently and asynchronously with flexible working hours.

Requirements

• Strong professional experience in nonfiction writing (journalism, essays, commentary, cultural criticism, or related fields).
• Published portfolio with bylines in respected outlets (e.g., The Atlantic, The New Yorker, The New York Times, Vox, The Guardian, Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg).
• Strong editorial and analytical skills to assess nonfiction writing across genres.
• Excellent written communication and ability to articulate feedback.
• Access to a desktop or laptop computer (Chromebooks are not supported).
