Job summary

JLL Work Place Management seeks a Water Technician to join our facilities team, overseeing water systems across Greater Manchester and surrounding sites. You will perform inspections, testing, and maintenance to ensure health and safety compliance for commercial properties, delivering high-quality service to clients.

Essential qualifications include City & Guilds plumbing or water systems certification (or equivalent), Legionella awareness, and at least 3 years' experience.

Qualifications

• City & Guilds qualification in plumbing or water systems management or equivalent experience.
• Legionella awareness training (BOHS P901 or equivalent) with understanding of ACoP L8 requirements.
• Minimum 3 years experience in commercial water system maintenance.
• Valid UK driving license and willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Water System Management: conduct inspections, testing, and maintenance of water systems including hot/cold water services, cooling towers, and domestic water supplies; monitor water quality and maintain records.
• Maintenance and Repairs: execute planned preventive maintenance for pumps, valves, storage tanks, and distribution systems; respond to emergency callouts and coordinate with contractors.
• Compliance and Documentation: ensure compliance with Water Regulations and Health and Safety at Work Act; maintain logbooks and prepare monthly reports.
• Client Service: provide technical guidance to building managers and tenants; respond to queries and support meetings with technical recommendations.
