You will source, pitch and develop stories daily, applying rigorous fact-checking and sound editorial judgment.

Reporting to the News Editor, you will work remotely with flexible hours, with London-based writers able to use the London office.

Qualifications

• Experience in a reputable, fast-paced digital newsroom covering US news.
• Proven ability to source, pitch, report and produce several stories daily.
• Strong knowledge of US news and trends for an American audience.
• Proficiency with CMS and digital publishing tools.
• Solid understanding of media law and ethical journalism.

Responsibilities

• Produce multiple articles daily to a high editorial standard.
• Pitch original ideas and develop exclusives with sources and data.
• Research and write original stories for an American audience.
• Respond quickly to breaking news and contribute to live blogs.
