Job summary

Newsweek, a global media organization, seeks an AI Policy Reporter to join its UK-based digital newsroom, delivering fast, accurate AI policy coverage for an American audience.

Reporting to the News Editor, you will source, research and develop breaking news, explainers and enterprise reporting on AI regulation, governance and technology policy, while meeting tight deadlines in a hybrid/remote setup.

Qualifications

• Experience in a reputable, fast-paced digital newsroom covering technology or policy.
• Proven ability to source, pitch, report and produce several stories each day to a high standard.
• Strong knowledge of artificial intelligence, technology policy and governance issues.

Responsibilities

• Produce multiple articles each day to a high editorial standard.
• Pitch original ideas and develop exclusives by securing quotes and data.
• Research and write stories, explainers and features on AI policy, regulation and governance.
• Respond quickly to breaking news and policy developments involving governments and tech companies.
• Collaborate with editors and audience teams to package stories with graphics and embeds.
• Meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced digital newsroom.
