Job summary

Dematic is seeking a System Integration Manager to act as the Voice of Engineering, ensuring designs meet customer requirements and contract specifications. The role spans pre-sale optimization, simulation oversight, and end-to-end integration across projects, with significant travel to customer sites in the UK.

The position emphasizes proactive risk management, leadership, and collaboration with SD, Sales, and Customer Service teams to deliver reliable throughput and successful hand-overs.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a technical field related to industrial systems or mechatronics.
• At least 4 years in development or technical management within automated logistics or similar.
• Experience as software engineer in warehouse management systems is beneficial but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide the voice of Engineering to the Solutions Development team to optimize automation solutions pre-sale.
• Review and approve simulation output and reports, aligning with SD and Sales; alert customers to responsibilities affecting performance.
• Generate system specifications for customer approval and understanding of the system.
• Define and lead the integration strategy across all project phases from Solutions to Execution.
• Ensure alignment of system specifications and acceptance tests with contractual requirements and expected throughput.
• Lead site-wide testing with documented test strategy and results in collaboration with Test Manager.
• Produce system availability weightings and oversee FEM availability methodology.
