Job summary

The University of Law is seeking a compassionate Money & Housing Advisor to empower students with expert guidance on student finance, debt, benefits and housing rights. This remote role includes occasional campus travel and overnight stays, with a focus on managing a diverse caseload and delivering workshops to support student wellbeing and financial resilience.

You will work collaboratively to develop resources, support the Money Mentors scheme, and contribute to National Student Money Week

Qualifications

• Degree-level education or equivalent work experience.
• Recent, relevant experience in student financial support, finance and housing matters.
• Experience with students and adults in higher or further education.
• Knowledge of UK student funding, benefits, housing legislation and tenants’ rights.
• Understanding of equality legislation and safeguarding.
• Excellent numeracy, communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to travel between ULaw campuses (occasional overnight stays).

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist advice on student finance, debt, benefits, housing rights and homelessness.
• Manage your own caseload and assess applications for student financial support.
• Develop resources, deliver workshops, support Money Mentors scheme, and contribute to National Student Money Week.
